Stabilization Equipment – Stabilizers
› Steel integral blade stabilizers:
– in sizes ranging from 5 ¾” to 26” (146 mm to 660 mm).
– manufactured from AISI 4145H modified heat-treated steel.
› Non magnetic integral blade stabilizers:
– in sizes ranging from 5 ¾” to 17 ½” (146 mm to 445 mm).
– manufactured from premium stainless steel for use in directional drilling applications.
› Designed to increase rate of penetration and to control deviation.
› Economical to use, reducing drilling costs per foot.
› Stabilizers can be provided with either of the following types of hardfacing:
– Stabil-Tech – premium hardfacing combining Tungsten Carbide inserts surrounded with Technogenia-applied hard metal to support wear.
– Quick Tip Hardfacing – the most cost effective way to apply to maximum amount of high grade Tungsten Carbide on any wear surface. Also available in multi thicknesses. The bonding between hardfacing and base material can be verified by ultrasonic inspection.
